This section below of informative tutorials will explain how to setup up Visual Studio for the first time, teach you the very basics of the two .Net frameworks, and help you decide what programming language and path to choose when first starting out.
The first thing a new programmer needs is an environment to develop their .Net website in. In this case the software that we use has an abundance of features that far exceed just the .Net framework. The software we want to download is a Microsoft poroduct called Visual Studio, you can download the new 2010 Free Express version of Visual Studio here which is recommended for starters or you can choose to buy the full version here. After you have successfully downloaded a version of Microsoft Visual Studio you can proceed to the first tutorial in the getting started section.
